Red Light Therapy for Hair Growth
Low-Level Laser / Photobiomodulation (LLLT/PBM) for Hair Restoration
What Is Red Light Therapy for Hair Loss?
Red Light Therapy (RLT), also known as Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or Photobiomodulation (PBM), uses specific wavelengths of light — typically 630–670 nm (visible red) and 810–830 nm (near-infrared) — to penetrate the scalp and energize hair follicle cells at the mitochondrial level.
This non-thermal, non-invasive modality has been cleared by the FDA for hair loss and has an extensive body of peer-reviewed clinical evidence supporting its efficacy in androgenetic alopecia and other forms of hair thinning.

Who Is an Ideal Candidate?
Red light therapy is suitable for virtually all patients experiencing non-scarring alopecia, including androgenetic alopecia, diffuse thinning, and stress-related shedding. It is particularly effective as part of a multimodal protocol and for patients who prefer a completely non-invasive, painless approach.
